6. Terms and conditions of Sale.
Returns and Cancellation.
N.B. Before returning any items customers must contact us by email firstname.lastname@example.org or fax +44 (0)1270 875822 detailing the reason for the return and await authorisation. We cannot guarantee to accept unauthorised returns whatever the reason for the return or to refund any postage costs for which we may otherwise be liable. Failure to inform us may also cause delays in processing the return.
IN ALL CASES customers should obtain proof of dispatch e.g. Proof of Posting (free
at a UK Post Office) or use Recorded or Special Delivery whichever is appropriate
as we will not be responsible for the non-
Parcels returned to us from outside the EU must display a customs declaration that the package is a returned item to the UK. Any customs duty incurred by us will be deducted from any refund due or charged to the customer regardless of the reason for the return.
i Cancellation. Orders may cancelled by telephoning +44 (0)1270 873670 by fax +44 (0)1270 875822 or by email to email@example.com.
If the order has already been dispatched, the goods must be returned to us unopened, undamaged and unused and in the original packaging within 14 days of receipt for a full refund less our postage & packaging costs.
ii Returning unwanted goods. Returns of unwanted goods will only be accepted within 14 days of receipt and if unopened, undamaged and unused and in the original packaging. Please include Your invoice/delivery note and ensure that the package is securely wrapped. If unwanted goods are returned to us in an unsatisfactory condition they will be sent back and any additional carriage and handling charges will be charged back to You. Proof of posting is required as above. Please note we are unable to accept returns of media such as computer software, DVD’s, CD’s and videos, unless faulty.
iii Faulty goods. Any item which is faulty may be returned within 14 days of receipt and we will replace it and refund your return postage costs or, if the product is no longer available and there is no acceptable alternative, we will provide You with a full refund including Your return postage costs. Please include Your invoice/delivery note and ensure that the package is securely wrapped. Proof of posting is required as above.
iv Damaged or missing items. If goods are damaged in transit or if there is any discrepancy You must inform us by telephoning +44 (0)1270 873670 by fax +44 (0)1270 875822 or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org within 48 hours of receipt and all the external and internal packaging must be retained by You for inspection by Ourselves and/or Our carrier(s). We will not accept any responsibility or liability if these conditions are not met. We undertake to replace damaged or missing items as soon as reasonably possible and after we have received the appropriate documentation (as supplied by Us) completed and signed by You. We may also at our discretion first require and arrange for the return of damaged goods to Us. Any return postage costs will be refunded.
Payment will be accepted in the form of a cheque, banker’s draft or by BACS. Approved credit or debit card payments are accepted via PayPal for which the customer needs an email address but does not need to have a PayPal account. We do not apply surcharges to payments made via PayPal.
Payment is required in full before any goods will be dispatched except when at our discretion we offer credit terms to educational establishments, public bodies and the like provided that they supply an official order. Unless agreed otherwise in advance payment of credit invoices must be made within 30 days.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions or elsewhere on the Site is intended to imply that any particular product can or will always be supplied at a discounted price nor that every customer is entitled to be offered a discount. Discounts (which may be conditional, see below), are offered entirely at Our discretion and only if permitted by the relevant publisher (We are only allowed to stock and supply certain products on condition that they are sold at the manufacturer’s recommended retail price).
We may offer or be asked to offer discount(s) on recommended retail price(s) subject to payment being received within a time limit and by a date agreed between Us and the Customer. The details of such agreements will be clearly stated on the invoice. In such cases payment of the discounted amount payable will only accepted by Us within the agreed time limit and by the agreed date. If payment is not received as agreed then the full amount will become due plus interest at 3% above bank base rate for every month payment is overdue from the date of the invoice. Under current VAT rules, whether the discounted or full payment is made, any VAT will apply only to the discounted price(s).
Customers outside the EU are wholly responsible for the payment of any import duties.
Statutory Rights. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects or is intended to affect, Your statutory rights.
Your use of the Site and any dispute arising out of such use of the Site is subject to the laws of England and Wales. Unauthorised use of the Site may give rise to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offence.
